Common Question of Furuno FAR-1513
What does this black box include?
The Furuno FAR-1513 includes a 12 kW transmitter and black box radar system, but it does not include an antenna or signal cable. A compatible antenna, signal cable, display, and installation accessories must be sourced separately. Confirm system matching before ordering this black box radar system.
What maximum range is listed?
The product is listed with a 96 nautical-mile range. Actual detection distance varies with antenna height, target size, atmospheric conditions, sea state, radar horizon, and system installation. Treat the listed range as a specification reference rather than a guaranteed result during every operating condition for long-range marine radar.
Is the antenna supplied?
No. The Furuno FAR-1513 is listed without an antenna and signal cable. Confirm the correct antenna type, cable length, connector configuration, display interface, power requirements, and mounting hardware before purchase. The transmitter cannot function as a complete radar installation without compatible external components and matching radar accessories.
