Common Question of Simrad HALO Antenna
What size antenna is included?
The Simrad HALO antenna is four feet long. The title identifies the antenna only, so the matching pedestal, cable, display, power accessories, and mounting hardware may need to be sourced separately. Confirm compatibility and installation dimensions before purchasing this four-foot HALO antenna.
Does it include a radar pedestal?
No pedestal is identified in this antenna-only listing. Select the correct Simrad HALO pedestal and verify the cable interface, display compatibility, network architecture, mounting pattern, rotation clearance, and power requirements. Proper component matching is necessary for a complete Simrad radar installation.
What affects antenna performance?
Antenna performance depends on scanner height, beam clearance, structural alignment, target reflectivity, weather, sea clutter, and compatible radar electronics. Install the four-foot antenna away from obstructions that create radar shadows, and follow Simrad requirements for consistent open-array radar performance.
